The app for social travellers. Trava aims to connect travellers abroad in an innovative new way. By using local events all over the world, because what better way to explore a new culture than by having a local experience. On Glatsee Local Event API you can find listings of local events around the world. Trava uses this API to create an online platform where travellers can meet and explore new cultures together through local events.

So you’re planning on traveling abroad and while planning your schedule, you have a lack of inspiration for thing to do. You don’t want to go sight seeing everyday or join a pub-crawl every other day. You don’t know anyone and you’re really keen on meeting some local friendly people or other travellers. What do you do?
Trava is an online platform giving travellers and locals an opportunity to meet through a more meaningful way. On Trava users can add their planned trips and the app will show all the local events that will take place in the area. The user can save these trip, which will add their profile to the “attendees” list of the event page, allowing other users to see who is coming. These local events are a new medium through which travellers and locals can meet.
Furthermore users will get event suggestions once they’ve arrived at their destinations. These are related events that the user might be interested in. Trava hopes to serve as a platform where locals and travellers can connect in a more meaningful way
